Hello! Thank you for all your prayers! We arrived safely in Ukraine at midnight Wednesday morning. That night, we drove about an hour from the airport to the house we have been living in for the past few days and will continue to live in until the 28th of May. We were treated with an amazing meal of ham and cheese sandwiches at 2am, which was incredible because I think we were all incredibly hungry from that long flight. Especially Ben. He ate 7 sandwiches. He wasn’t okay. He is now. There are 5 Ukrainian families that live in this house as well, and all these families consist of several children--either biological or adopted. We are so incredibly thankful for the people we’ve met in this house and our wonderful translators (Sasha and Esther), amazing Little Lambs staff (Anya, Susha, Vitali, Sasha, and Micala), and so many others that I don’t have the time to name!

Here’s a recap of what we’ve been doing for the past week and a half!

-serving the Little Lambs staff by doing chores around the house (organizing crafts, painting fences, cutting wood, etc.)

-playing with the kids that live on the property we’re staying at! Today (May 19th) we played a huge game of Americans vs. Ukranians soccer and we only lost by 1 point in sudden death! Given how amazing at soccer all the Ukranians are, I think we did pretty well.

Overall, we are all having an incredible time here! We all love each other so much and are bonding so well and so quickly. The kids we’ve been working with so far are so incredible! They are all so sweet to us and have loved getting to play with us and we love playing with them! We seriously are being treated so well here. We adore our staff and we’ve honestly had so much fun with them and gotten to know them so well and gotten to understand their walks with God. We are so excited to continue serving at this home for the next week and then move onto the Little Lambs orphange on the 28th!

Thank you so much for your prayers! Here are some more things you can continue to pray for:

-energy and strength to play with some very energetic children all day long

-team unity

-preparation of our hearts for the work we will be doing in the orphanage

-that we can serve our Lord well and work hard to glorify Him

-to be free of illness and injury (definitely injury. We go hard when we play soccer. It’s awesome.)

-that we would be able to share the gospel and share Christ’s love with the kids in a more direct way, given that we don’t speak much of the language

In His Service,

Megan Adams
